2018 Lady Rams fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-0 loss to Bainbridge on Thursday. Bainbridge took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bainbridge pitchers struck out 16, while 2018 Lady Rams sat down five.
Bainbridge got on the board in the first inning. Harrell grounded out, scoring one run.
A single by Abbey Adkins in the seventh inning was a positive for 2018 Lady Rams.
Delbrey toed the rubber for Bainbridge. She lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 16 and walking one.
Taylor White led things off on the rubber for 2018 Lady Rams. She surrendered three runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out five. Adkins threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Adkins went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead 2018 Lady Rams in hits.
Bainbridge racked up ten hits. Gardener, Biggs, and Beachem each had multiple hits for Bainbridge. Bainbridge was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Harrell had the most chances in the field with 17.
